MALVERN Ladies hockey team came down to earth with a bump last weekend away for a league game at Old Cresconians.
OLD CRESCONIANS 5, MALVERN LADIES 0
With three front players missing, Malvern played a new formation but were no match for a strong Cresconian side pushing for promotion from the Worcestershire League division two.
Liz McCann had an excellent game in midfield and stand-in captain Emma Spicer defended with strength and determination.
Malvern never gave up and Ellie Myhill attacked strongly on the left wing supported by Camilla Esling, who was breaking with menace through the centre.
A tired Malvern however, were glad to hear the final whistle and hope to finish their season tomorrow (Saturday) with a home win against Droitwich at Malvern College. The game starts at 2.30pm.
