THE council of Bromesberrow will hold the annual meeting for the parish on Friday, April 28, at Bromesberrow St Mary School at 7.30pm.

Bromesberrow Social and Gardening Club will be holding its meeting on Thursday (April 13) at 7.30pm at the village hall. In addition to the speaker, there will also be a gardener's question time, raffle, bring and buy and refreshments. New members are always welcome. On Thursday, May 11, the subject will be flower arranging with the well-known local flower arranger, Judy Street.

A the March meeting, the speakers Kim and Rob Hurst gave an illustrated talk on their herbery business, specialising for the last 21 years in herbs, tomatoes and scented foliage grown organically, biodynamic and peat-free on their two-acre garden near Tenbury Wells.

They exhibit at all the major shows and also have an interest in setting up displays for magazines for which they write. Sue Woolley thanked them. Carol Meredith won the competition for a pot of bulbs with her beautiful amaryllis and was presented with the Dougie Hill Memorial Cup and a voucher.
