ALCESTER High and Grammar schools are set to receive almost £10,000 in grants for improving their cycle and storage facilities.
The Government-led strategy is to get schools to tackle congestion problems and encourage pupils to walk, cycle or use public transport to get to school.
Thirty schools in Warwickshire have had their plans approved.
Councillor Martin Heatley, Warwickshire County Council's Cabinet member for the environment said: "Implementing a school travel plan is more important now than it has ever been. The number of cars used on the school run has increased dramatically over the last 20 years."
