COUGHTON Primary School pupils got to grips with a healthy lifestyle by skipping their way to fitness.
The sponsored skip-a-thon for the British Heart Foundation was part of the school's Fit for Learning week which taught the children the importance of a good diet and exercise.
Pupils were shown how to prepare salads, to bring in healthy lunches, eat healthy snacks and take part in aerobic activity.
A school spokesman said it had been a tremendous success and had encouraged the children to have lots of fruit and vegetables rather than crisps and chocolate.
The spokesman added: "It had a good effect and we really want this to continue."
