FORMER radio DJ and Redditch man Norman Wheatley has released a CD to raise money for a charity close to his heart.
The 55-year-old guitarist, who used to work for BRMB, has produced Jury of the Skies, proceeds of which will go to research into the auto-immune disease lupus. He has chosen the charity because his partner Vivien is a sufferer.
Mr Wheatley, of Oakenshaw, has been battling against his own health problems since he was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome but after two years has managed to produce the CD. It features acoustic ballads which are happy, sad and reflective, he said.
Mr Wheatley will be appearing at Bromsgrove Folk Club, based at the town's rugby club on Friday, with David Pick on bass and John harris on second guitar.
