FIFTY-six members of the Spadesbourne Ladies Club of Bromsgrove met to enjoy the June meeting.
Hazel Sheffield, formerly Hazel Maddox, wrote to thank the club members for the wedding present of garden vouchers. We all wish her well and lots of happiness.
Having enjoyed a lovely day out at Hampton Court Gardens, the ladies are now looking forward to visiting the lavender fields in the Cotswolds, as well as the popular day out with Brian Draper along the Teme Valley.
On top of all this, Julie Kirkbride has invited us to go to look around the Houses of Parliament in October. Menus were given out for the summer dinner in August to be held at the Pear Tree Hotel, Smite.
Our club must be one of the best fed and best travelled in the whole area. The speaker, Jackie Littlejohn, gave an excellent demonstration of flower arranging and when she had finished, she then re-arranged the flowers into three baskets, which were given as raffle prizes to her appreciative audience.
