A DRIVER had the window of his lorry smashed near the Q8 service station on Alcester Road, Beoley.
Police believe a group of youths could be responsible for throwing the rock at the white Renault truck on June 2 at 12.55pm.
They were seen in a nearby hedge at the time of the incident. Repair is an estimated £400.
A police spokesman said: "The driver was in the vehicle at the time but fortunately his injuries were minimal. Clearly this could have had far more serious consequences and it is important that we identify the offenders."
They are appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack or knows the youths to get in touch.
"We also want to make people aware that throwing items at passing vehicles is dangerous and that we will push for the maximum penalties for anyone caught acting in this irresponsible way," he added.
Anyone with information can contact Redditch police on 08457 444 888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
