ROAD checks have been carried out in Studley as part of a police operation to target criminals travelling into Warwickshire.
Operation Portsmouth involved officers focussing on the A435 over a two-week period.
The operation is thought to already have had a significant effect on crime reduction in Studley and the surrounding areas.
A total of 193 vehicles were stopped and 14 arrests were made for a variety of offences.
These included theft of motor vehicles, theft, disqualified driving, drug possession, positive breath tests and people wanted by the courts on warrants for their arrest.
A total of 38 vehicles were seized by police, 16 £200 fixed penalty tickets were issued to drivers caught driving without insurance and 25 £60 fines were handed out for driving without road tax.
