AT the June meeting , Matthew Skinner gave a talk on Trekking for Cancer.
With the aid of wonderful photo albums, he guided members through his most recent trip to Peru and along the Inca Trail to Machupichu.
Rediscovered in 1911, the site is in immaculate condition and although the Incas left no written records and took all their belongings when they left the site, to visit it is a wonderful experience.
Matthew and his group of walkers had also hiked up to the Sacred Valley, living in tents along the way. With altitude sickness an ever present threat, they certainly deserved their medals at the end of their journey.
Everyone was urged to bring a photograph on the theme "Every picture tells a story" to the July meeting.
Ed Shore will be talking about taking his car and caravan overland to India.
Visitors welcome.
