A REDDITCH man has been cleared of inflicting grievous bodily harm on his girlfriend after a court heard that she grabbed his private parts.

Gareth Walters, prosecuting, said Alison McAnulty did not want to continue her complaint against James Huxley.

Mr Walters told Worcester Crown Court: "She says she had grabbed him by the genitals and would not let go.

"He slapped her to make her loose her grip.

"There are injuries to his genitalia which have been seen by a police surgeon."

He offered no evidence against 33-year-old Huxley, of Bengrove Close, Woodrow, and a not guilty verdict was recorded.
