LOOSE cattle have been roaming free in Rowney Green.
Alvechurch Parish Council clerk Yvonne Goode said about 80 cows were on a bridleway in the area with nobody looking after them.
A Worcestershire County Council spokesman said: "The Animal Welfare Team is fully aware of the problems with cattle around Emmerdale Farm and are taking all possible measures to ensure the animals' welfare and to remedy the situation as soon as possible.
"We are working closely with the State Veterinary Service (SVS) and any cattle found to be suffering are being dealt with humanely. We are also continuing discussions with DEFRA to resolve the situation."
