QUINTIN Watt MA gave an entertaining talk on the Bromsgrove Guild of Applied Arts, which was founded in 1898 by a group of craftsmen and women inspired by the Arts and Crafts Movement.

Guild historian Mr Watt explained how the firm developed into a thriving commercial enterprise, acquiring an international reputation for fine craftsmanship.

He went onto reveal that the gates of Buckingham Palace are the creation of the guild.
