Lickey WI met at the parish hall on June 6. Final arrangements were made for a coach outing to Trentham Gardens later in the month and for a theatre visit in July.
Following the business meeting, Ena Stanworth and Lickey WI president Sue Mayne presented a wonderful array of hand-made quilts. Between them they had produced items using a variety of styles, ranging in size from placemat to king-size double bed, and in colour scheme from subtle to dramatic. The prolific and talented quilters were thanked by Catherine Parker for their presentation.
There were three lucky raffle winners. The competition for a thimble was won by Sue Mayne.
On Tuesday, July 4, Lickey WI will celebrate its birthday with a visit to Tythe Barn Gardens at Chaddesley Corbett. The competition will be for a buttonhole, which all members are encouraged to wear for the evening.
