A GROUP of business minded pensioners show there's more to them than reminiscing about the good old days in the latest comedy to come to Birmingham's Alexandra Theatre between June 26 and July 1.
An industrious group of 70-something cleaners decide to start a phone sex business called 'The Telephone Belles', after they are sacked.
Last of the Summer Wine's Juliette Kaplan (who plays grumpy Pearl in the BBC sitcom) heads up a cast that includes former Eastenders star Dean Gaffney and Allo Allo's Kim Hardman and Sue Hodge. The show broke box office records when it was first performed in Newcastle, then audiences in Glasgow and Edinburgh demanded another chance to see this laugh- a- minute look at sex and the over-seventies.
This was followed by an eight week Irish tour including a four-week sold-out Dublin season. Tickets cost between £12 and £20 pounds and can be bought by calling ticketmaster on 0870 6077544.
