Ombersley lost by nine wickets
OMBERSLEY slipped to a nine wicket defeat at the hands of high-flying Whitchurch in the Birmingham and District League Division Three on Saturday.
The newly promoted team were blown away by Whitchurch batsmen M Hasnain (115) and A Huxley (88), who guided their team to 233-1.
Domimic D'Oliveira tried to get Ombersley on target with a powerful 98, while Ian Foster hit 52 runs, but Ombersley were restricted to 232. Ombersley take on Berkswell away from home this Saturday (1pm start).
