ANGLING: Astwood Bank's Dark Lane Angling Club fished their first Aggregate Derek Hopkins Cup on the River Arrow on Saturday.
In spite of low river levels, weights were high across the 28-strong field and Pete Aspindale Jnr returned to winning ways with a superb 20lb 4oz haul of chub from Bleachfield Meadow.
Tony Lockett took second with 18lb 4oz of chub off Mill Lane with Phil Smith third on 13lb 6oz.
Section winners were: C Partridge, B Feldhahn and T Sealey.
