RESIDENTS of a Stourport care home will go back to the future to raise cash to buy a replacement minibus for one that was stolen.

Joined by staff, the residents of Ravenhurst, in Lickhill Road North, will host a Victorian garden party on Sunday, that will feature croquet, Victorian-style cakes and cream teas.

Wyre Forest MP, Dr Richard Taylor, is backing the fund-raising campaign, launched by the home after the theft of its minibus earlier this year.

Ravenhurst manager, Jane Poppitt, said: "We have had a brilliant rersponse and I would like to thank everyone who has offered help.

"We are all looking forward to the garden party, which will be great fun. Everyone is welcome to come along."

There is a charge for attending. Tickets can be bought in advance on 01299 825610 or people can pay on the day, with the event starting at 2.15pm.
