CAR enthusiasts are being urged to rev up their engines and join a charity tour through Kidderminster next month.

The Victory Trail event, organised by the Motor Cycling Club (MCC) and the MG Car Club (MGCC) is on Sunday, July 23.

It is open to any enthusiast with an historic car or motorcycle.

The day will mark the 80th anniversary of the Birmingham Victory Trial and run from Kings Heath, passing by Kidderminster before travelling to Wythall.

Spokesman, Brian Osborne, said: "In the 1920s and 1930s, the Birmingham MCC used to run the Victory Trial, usually from South Birmingham to South Worcestershire and back.

"To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the 1926 event, it is planned to hold a charity touring run that follows or trails the 1926 route, hence the Victory Trail."

The event will start at Alcester Lanes End, Kings Heath and finish at the Transport Museum, Wythall. Proceeds go to Macmillan Cancer Relief and Riding for the Disabled Association.
