BROADWAY gained revenge for their first loss in the Con-corde League with a resounding 137-64 victory over Pershore last weekend.

Mark Rainbow's rink won in convincingly 36-13 after being 26-4 up at the halfway stage.

Colin Cooper was 12-6 up after 12 ends and forged further ahead in the last nine ends to win 30-7.

Pershore were actually winning on the other three rinks after 12 ends but Brian Ford scored 15 shots to three in the last nine ends, while Dennis Hall's rink scored 19 without reply to come home 27-10 winners.

Phil Taylor's game was alw-ays close and they went into the last end at 20-20. Broadway held a winning three shots but Ray Griffiths came in with his last wood to steal the game.

In a midweek friendly against Stratford, Broadway lost 81-61. David Turner skipped the lone winning rink for the losers, while Mick Aubrey and Colin Cooper both only lost narrowly.

Norman Appleby, however, was always in trouble and went down 28-9.
