SERVICE with a smile will be the name of the game when Bewdley Tennis Club holds its annual open day on July 2.
Budding tennis players can measure the speed of their serves using the electronic gun, while a ball machine will also be in use.
The event which runs from 11am to 3pm is on the middle Sunday of Wimbledon as club officials hope to take advantage of tennis fever.
Spokeswoman Jennifer Frow said members would be on hand to answer any queries.
"This is always the time of year when people who used to play think about doing so, and Bewdley always has welcomed all ages and abilities," she said.
"Anyone who joins as a result of attending the open day will have their one-off entrance fee waived."
Meanwhile, Bewdley's junior boys' teams comprehensively beat Hereford 3-0 in the U14 Junior National Club League with the two Jacks, Sylvester and George-Burnell, only dropping two games.
They also did well in the Littleton's LTA Tournament, reaching the doubles semi finals, while Sylvester made the last four of the singles.
