SPORTING prowess clearly runs in the family for Kidderminster Harriers midfielder Russ Penn - after his father won the club's annual golf day.

Mick Penn led a four-man team called Stourbridge Vets to victory with 91 points in the tournament at Kidderminster Golf Club.

A Harriers team were second with Advent Computer Training third in the event which raised £1,045 for club funds.

Bewdley Pines

Kay Wilkinson has been crowned the new ladies section club champion at Bewdley Pines.

Her gross score of 163 was enough to see off competition from Kathryn Harvey and Allison Garth.

Results: Wilkinson 163 (80 and 83), Harvey 169 (86 & 83), Garth 176 (89 & 87).

Best nett result: Debbie Blain.
