THREE boys' crews from the Evesham club travelled down to the prestigious Marlow International Regatta as part of their training for next month's National Championships.
Held on the World Champion-ship course at Dorney Lake, the event is an opportunity for crews to experience multi-lane racing over a 2K course.
There was success for the J14 coxed quad of Ben Farrar, Jon Farrar, Tom Noble and Rob Barnett, coxed by Jack Lazenby, who beat two strong crews from Windsor Boys School in a straight final.
The crew rowed a time of seven minutes and 53 seconds well ahead of the nearest crew.
Fifteen-year-olds Rory Sull-ivan and Oli Staite rowed at J18 level and came second in their first round to book a place in the final where they managed fourth spot.
The coxless quad of Tom Walker, Josh Pendry, Will Tew and James Crumpton - rowing at J16 level and with three boys rowing up an age group - also managed a fourth in their final.
J14 boys are attending the Peterborough Junior Regatta this weekend for more multi-lane experience. Several other crews are off to the Ironbridge Regatta on Sun-day.
Entries for the Golden Mile Challenge at the club on Satur-day, July 8 close on Monday.
Competitors, aged 14 or over, row one mile in the shortest time. Ring 01386 765785 for more details.
