COTSWOLD jockey Richard Johnson teamed up with trainer Peter Bowen to land a double with Celtic Boy and Tommy Spar at Stratford last Sunday.

Temple Guiting handler Jonjo O'Neill, meanwhile, had to settle for a brace of second place finishes with Longueville Manor in the opener and Mylo in the second of the six races at Luddington Road.

Alcester trainer Roger Brookhouse saw his sole runner, Estate, ridden by Timmy Murphy, give Foodbroker Founder a good run for its money in the feature race of the afternoon with the Noel Chance-trained nine-year-old prevailing at the winning post.

Murphy did get into the winners' enclosure when Inch Pride won the Novices' Chase for David Pipe.

The next meeting at Stratford is on Wednesday, July 5.
