WE would like to thank the kind people of Malvern who, on a rainy May 27, took pity on wet collectors and wet and patient dogs and contributed £300.81 to our greyhound rescue charity. Ours is an organisation run completely by volunteers, so we rely heavily on the generosity of the public. Rehoming rescued greyhounds is like painting the Forth Bridge, they just keep coming at the rate of 30,000 a year. They are kind, forgiving dogs, 30mph couch potatoes, so please consider one - visit our website www.grwe.co.uk
May I take this opportunity to mention our annual show, our tenth as a registered charity at How Capel Court and gardens on September 10, where our special guests will be Jilly Cooper and Kate Bliss, who will be conducting an auction for us. We hope to see you there.
JAN MOUNTFORD, Fruitlands, Malvern.
