HURRY along for some fun at Powick School fete tomorrow (Saturday) from 2pm. All the usual stalls and entertainment, with the World Cup as the theme and a match on the big screen.
The family service for Powick and Callow End will be held at St Peter's Church at the earlier time of 10.30am and will celebrate St Peter's Day, with favourite hymns and readings.
The next Powick Ramblers' walk on Friday, June 30, will be at Ravenshill Woodland Reserve at 10am. Meet at the information centre for a linear walk via three nature reserves. The leaders are Phil and Joy Bunyan, (01886) 832774.
On Sunday, a garden fete will take place at St Cloud Nursing Home, Callow End from 2.30pm. All the usual stalls, cakes, tombola, raffle and refreshments, plus a brass band to entertain.
The church will be open tomorrow Saturday from 2pm to 5pm for visitors. An exhibition of children's drawings and coloured pictures on the theme of Peter, the fisherman will be on display.
