Worcester City chairman Dave Bod-dy defended the decision to increase adult admission prices by one pound for the 2006/07 season.

Ground admission at St George's Lane will rise from £9 to £10 and, to sit in the stand, from £10 to £11.

"We are trying to remain competitive and that's the only way we can be," said Boddy.

"People want us to compete in this league and have a real go."

Concession admission remains the same, £5 for ground and £6 stand, while a family ticket of two adults and two children stays at £20.

Season ticket prices have been held for next season. For the ground, prices are £150 adults and £70 concessions before May 1, £165 adult and £85 concessions before July 1, and £170 adults and £90 concessions after July.

In the stand, prices are £170 adults and £90 concessions before May 1, £185 adults and £105 concessions before July 1, and £190 adults and £110 concessions after July 1.

Georgie Dragon Club membership is £40 and Blue Dragon Club membership at £70.

Boddy said: "We've frozen season tickets, which is a great incentive.

"If you purchase a season ticket, you get a saving of two extra games on last season.

"We've held our season ticket prices for two years and the concession prices will have been held for three years."

All paid admissions on the day of the game enter a free prize draw, with the chance to win match tickets and Worcester City-associated products.
