KIDDERMINSTER Harriers gear up for tomorrow's crunch summer test with rivals Wolves (3pm) after making a new board-room appointment.

Bermuda-based businessman Gordan Howard -- one third of the Aggborough Holdings group that took control of Harriers on Tuesday -- has become a director at the club.

Howard, 60, who has family living in Kinver, is a former managing director of the Grosvenor Trust, one of the largest financial trusts on the island.

He also holds directorships in many other international companies and is also a member of the Insititute of Directors.

Howard joins the board ahead of the club's most mouth-watering clash of the pre-season calendar, with Glenn Hoddle's Championship side coming to town.

Harriers have already got off to a winning start this summer with comfortable victories over neighbours Bewdley and Bromsgrove Rovers.

But tomorrow's Aggborough showdown against Wolves is a far tougher assignment and Kidderminster boss Stuart Watkiss has called on supporters to turn out in force and cheer on his new-look side.

Watkiss said: "Wolves are geographically the biggest opponents we could face this summer, so I'm hopeful that we can get a big crowd in for that game.

"They're a different class in terms of players and you only have to look at the manager and his history to know this match has the makings of a massive test for us."

Hereford United kick-off their pre-season programme tomorrow when they host Coca-Cola League One outfit Bristol City at Edgar Street.

Bulls' manager Graham Turner ad-mits he will give his players at least 60 minutes against the Robins, as new signings Alex Jeannin, Jon Brady and Dean Beckwith look to make their debuts.

Elsewhere, Midland Alliance club Malvern Town hope to include new recruits Craig Humphries, Rob Hoskins and Raj Sharma in their starting line-up as they host Southern League Division One West team Stourport Swifts.

Bromsgrove Rovers entertain Nationwide North club Hednesford Town at the Victoria Ground.
