HOLEY Moley, not another Batman movie.

Probably not the most enjoyable for children but definitely the best so far for us grown-ups.

Its mostly thanks to a superb plot and some great acting. The latest Hollywood star to don the famous cloak and mask is Christian Bale who puts all previous caped crusaders to shame -yes I'm afraid even the legendary Adam West from all those years ago.

Bale manages to pull off a dashing Bruce Wayne and a deadly Batman. Even he is upstaged by the evergreen Michael Caine who plays devoted butler Alfred, with lines like "Yes master Bruce I have looked after your money while you've been away" and "You can borrow the Rolls as long as you return it with a full tank".

There is an abundance of seeded actors including Liam Neeson, Gary Oldman, Rutger Hauer and Morgan Freeman, along with up and coming starlet Katie Holmes as Bruce Wayne's love interest.

Brace yourselves as you are treated to around two hours of non-stop entertainment from start to finish. Batman Begins is the prequel to all the other Batman films.

It's the tale that's never been told, the forgotten years between young Bruce Wayne's parents being murdered and the rise of the dark knight of justice. The origin of Batman provides us with all the answers to our hero's influences.

One of the most incredible aspects to this movie is that its totally computer generated graphics free.

Director Christopher Nolan is obviously a fan of good old fashioned stunts so everything you see is for real.

Some of those stunts involve an awesome Batmobile that transforms Batman into the ultimate boy racer.

The villain in this movie is crazed Dr Jonathan Crane aka the evil Scarecrow played by Cillian Murphy who turns all of Gotham's biggest crime lords into his mad pawns to take control of the city.

This is probably the darkest version yet, not to mention the best. See it if you dare. MW
