MARTIN O'Connor can stick with a winning formula as Kidderminster Harriers pursue another LDV Vans Trophy shock tonight.

Johnny Mullins (dead leg) and Simon Heslop (sore shin) returned to training yesterday after being taken off as a precaution in Saturday's stunning FA Trophy triumph.

Harriers thrashed fellow Conference strugglers Scarborough 4-0 but now face a totally different task in the LDV northern quarter-finals against League One mid-table outfit Bradford City at Aggborough (7.45).

Caretaker-boss O'Connor will be tempted to stay away from changes in order to find the much-needed consistency that could eventually bolster their poor league campaign.

He admitted: "It is something in my mind as, looking over the season so far, we have not really kept the same team consistently over several matches.

"The LDV is a good competition to be in and to get the rewards from but, for me, it is more about the league at the moment.

"We tend to blow hot and cold -- that's why we're in the league position we are in at the moment.

"Fortunately, this game is on the back of a decent performance on Saturday which is an advantage for us and it's now about producing the same performance tonight."

Harriers' confidence has already been boosted in the competition with fine wins over useful League Two outfits Darlington (2-1 at home) and Boston United (3-0 away).

Latest opponents Bradford can boast the likes of former Premiership players Dean Windass, Steve Claridge, David Wetherall, Danny Cadamarteri and Richard Edghill - if they choose to play them.

Colin Todd's side will defend a formidable away record of just three league and cup defeats in 15 games but have found life tougher on home turf with Saturday's 2-1 loss to Rotherham their sixth at the Bradford & Bingley Stadium.

Standard

O'Connor said: "We've had some superb wins in this competition and -- take nothing away from the players - they've performed to the standard we know they can in those games.

"This will be a difficult one. Bradford are two divisions above us and we will have to be right to get anything out of the game.

"We know they are good away from home but this will show how far away we are from being a decent side.

"It will be good to see how our players can match up to the likes of Windass, Wetherall and Cadamarteri. Whoever they field, it will be a strong team of a better standard than ourselves. But we hope we can get a result."

Laurie Wilson (foot) and Wayne Graves are added to the Harriers squad after recovering from injury.
