MARK Yates has snapped up Jake Sedgemore after the versatile midfielder reached a settlement on his contract with League Two side Bury.

Sedgemore has penned an 18-month contract at Aggborough and will compete for a position in the middle of the park, although he is equally at home playing across the back four.

The ex-Shrewsbury player, 27, spent the first part of this season on loan at Burton and played in both of the FA Cup clashes with Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Jermain Hollis and Chris McHale, who have both been peripheral players at Aggborough, were released by Harriers yesterday.
