FRANCINO Francis is in line for a starting role when Kidderminster Harriers take on Morecambe at Christie Park tomorrow (3pm).

The powerhouse forward, who is at Aggborough on a work experience loan deal from Watford, looks set to partner Lee Thompson up front.

The departure of Andy White, who has been recalled by Notts County after a month-long loan stay, has presented Francis with his opportunity to start. The 19-year-old frontman has made five appearances for Harriers so far and is likely to add to them tomorrow.

Manager Mark Yates has been in the market for a striker to replace White, but so far nothing has materialised.

He said: "Franny (Francis) will probably start up front against Morecambe and I am confident he can do a good job for us.

"Notts County have had a few bad results and I don't think they've won since Andy left so I was half expecting them to take him back.

"Andy's done really well here and if they've had him watched they'll have realised that.

"I'm glad for him that he'll get a chance there, but obviously I'm disappointed to lose him."

"I don't think we're going to score bucket-loads of goals but I think we'll get enough to win football matches so I'm not unduly worried."

Harriers have struggled for goals since top-scorer Iyseden Christie left the club for League Two Rochdale in the January transfer window and even though 24-year-old White only scored once in his five appearances for Kidderminster, he made an important contribution with his strong hold-up play, aerial ability and intelligent use of the ball.

Harriers travel to the play-off-chasing Shrimps having scored just two goals in their past five games and Yates is expecting a tough game.

He said: " Morecambe are doing really well and they have got some very good players. I want the players to put in a good performance and if we can do that the result should look after itself.

"Morecambe are pushing for the play-offs, but we are determined to go there and get something."

The Harriers boss has a full squad to choose from, with Terry Fleming available after serving a one-match ban.

Wayne Graves returned to training this week and is also available for selection after overcoming a groin problem.
