MARK Yates is hoping to add 'two, possibly three' new faces to his beleaguered Kidderminster Harriers squad before the Nationwide Conference transfer window closes at 5pm today.

Defender Junior Osborne, the pacy youngster who was at Aggborough on a work experienced loan deal, has returned to his parent club Watford and Paul Smith is unlikely to feature in the near future as he is absent with personal problems.

With his squad already paper-thin, Yates is looking to make up for these departures by capturing a couple of players before the deadline.

He said: "I am looking for anything that will improve my squad and I just want to get something that will improve us until the end of the season.

"Our last few performances have made me change my thinking and hopefully two, possibly three, new players will be coming on board.

"As was the case with Francino Francis, Junior had been a little bit disappointed with not starting very many games here and that's something I fully understand.

"Paul Smith has some personal problems back home in Newcastle, which is something neither party foresaw when he joined the club.

"We all wish him well and he remains a Harriers player but will be unavailable for a while."

It is likely that any new signings Yates makes will go str-aight into the squad for Saturday's derby game with Hereford United at Edgar Street.

Under previous manager, Stuart Watkiss, Harriers were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Hereford last October.
