HIT musical, Grease, was back by popular demand at Birmingham's Alexandra Theatre and the audience loved it.

The fast-paced show delivered all that it promised with back-to-back toe-tapping songs and impressive dance routines.

Full of favourite tunes, including Grease Lightnin, Beauty School Dropout, Summer Nights and You're The One That I Want, it kept the theatregoers swaying in their seats and singing along.

Birmingham's own Hayley Evetts, who rose to fame on talent television show, Pop Idol, was fantastic in the role of Sandy, who is the new girl at Rydell High School.

Paul Manuel, with his slick hairstyle, good looks and comic timing was, without a doubt, leader of the T-Birds, Danny, who met Sandy during the summer.

Rizzo was played by Deborah Hayward and was every bit the feisty and outspoken Pink Lady you would expect.

Her fellow Pink Ladies, Frenchy (Michelle Francis), Jan (Michelle Bishop) and Marty (Joanna Rapley), were also well cast and very funny to watch.

T-Birds, Kenickie (Stuart Ramsay), Sonny (Mark Powell), Roger (Angus Macmillan) and Doody (Gavin Lee Rees), also made the audience laugh.

They were supported by a fantastic group of dancers and musicians, as well as cheesy DJ, Vince Fortaine. HL
