A TOUGH training schedule has paid off for a trio of local Tae Kwon Do students.
Matthew Deakin has become a 1st Dan Black Belt, while Michael Perry and Charlie Roberts won bronze medals in the sparring category at the British ITS Championships.
The 12-year-old pupil at Bredon Hill Middle School trains three times a week at Sedgeberrow Village Hall and he now has sights set on achieving 2nd Dan status after grabbing glory in a Grading test in Cardiff.
Matthew has been a member of the Martin Paradine Tae Kwon Do club in his home village for four years and all his hard work is starting to reap dividends.
Ten-year-old Michael and Charlie (8), meanwhile, are members of the Pershore club and again their efforts at club nights were rewarded when they returned from a competition at Kidderminster with their medals.
