SIX points from Evesham United's next two matches will lift them out of the bottom three in the Premier Div-ision of the Southern League.

However, come the end of the season that might still not be enough to save the Robins from relegation!

Fifth bottom Cheshunt are now ten points clear of Paul West's side who face a must win clash at Northwood on Saturday before another long trek to Merthyr on Tuesday.

"It's obviously a six-pointer and everyone is aware how important the game is," the manager admitted. "We're not going to panic but we know that we have to score although we won't be going at it gung-ho!"

West will assess the fitness of several squad members at training tonight when he will be hoping more of his players are out on the pitch!

Seven senior players were in the treatment room on Tuesday but only Grant Pinkney is expected to be unavailable for a place in the starting line-up in north London.

Recent recruit Chad Shepherd is expected to be given a debut and West is hoping the former Willenhall man can bring more quality to his side.

"Chad's a flair player and has looked sharp in training," the manager revealed. "We've done the basics by keeping things tight over the past few weeks but now we need to add a bit of quality. That was something that was missing from our game last Saturday.

However, the defeat did give West an insight into his current pool of players.

"They were all disappointed that they didn't get something out of the game and that shows just how far we have come in the last month," the Common Road chief declared.
