WESTFIELDS manager Sean Edwards has made his first pre-season signing.

Twenty-year-old Pegasus Juniors midfield dynamo Jamie Cuss has signed Midland Alliance forms.

Cuss will make his debut in next Tuesday's Herefordshire FA Senior Cup Final with Hereford United at Edgar Street (7.45pm).

Cuss played against Westfields in the FA Vase and HFA Senior Cup games last season.

Edwards said: "Jamie is a talented player with a good engine and a good passer of the ball. He will fit into our set-up very well."

Westfields have a plum home tie on September 2 in the FA Cup preliminary round when they meet Ford Sports Daventry or Racing Club Warwick.

Chief executive Andy Morris said: "It's a great home draw for us. We know plenty about Racing Club Warwick, who play in our league, but little about Fords Sports Daventry.

"But if you're in the FA Cup you are a good side so whoever you play it will be a tough tie."

In the FA Vase, Westfields travel to Nottinghamshire to play Carlton Town, the team that knocked them out two seasons ago, on September 9.

Westfields have drawn Pegasus at home in both the HFA Senior County Challenge Cup and the Senior Floodlit Cup.
