A GROUP of Alcester women are taking fundraising to new heights in aid of a Cystic Fibrosis charity.
Beverley Cowley, 51, Angela Akers, 49, Pauline Watts, 48, and Lorraine Mansfield, 49, who call themselves the Ben Nevis Four, will be climbing the mountain in September.
The charitable quartet are taking on the challenge in memory of Alcester boy Andrew Wade who died from Cystic Fibrosis last year.
They need to raise at least £325 in sponsorship each and will be holding a series of fundraising events. The appeal kicked off with a barbecue at the Holly Bush pub on July 1, which raised £170.
The group's next fundraiser is a Race Night on Saturday, August 5 at The White Lion in Alcester.
