INTERNATIONAL stars could soon been seen on stage at Bromsgrove's newly re-branded night spot, The Whitehouse, formerly Stars. It was owned by five Whitehouse brothers from Birmingham who planned to open the High Street club every night and bring the top stars to the town. The annual membership fee was £8.

A PLAN to form a BMX moto-cross club and construct a track at Wychbold had met with strong opposition from residents who feared their lives would be disrupted by noise. Those backing the plan proposed to hold a public meeting in the village at which a promotional film would be shown and where a selection of bikes would be on display.
