TOWN teenagers have until noon on Friday to submit applications for their slice of more than £280,000.
Worcestershire County Council is dishing out the dosh over the next four months to help young people create the type of places they want to spend their spare time.
The grants, each worth up to £2,500, have been named Floss -- Funding for Lots of Stuff -- and are available to teenagers aged 13-19 for any cause as long as it benefits young people.
A member of the Floss management group, Nathanael Peters, 13, said: "It is for young people to decide what this money should be spent on as they are the only ones who really know what young people want. Floss provides money for young people and it stands for exactly what we want to be doing."
Nineteen youths have received training to become "young assessors" and they will visit applicants and decide where the cash is spent. They will be looking to make sure projects are based on young people's ideas and that they provide good value for money.
