A WORKMEN'S supper was given by Mrs EG Ashforth at the Duke of York in Sidemoor, to the men who had been recently engaged on her new buildings. BROMSGROVE Rovers had their first match for over a month, but the rest had a far from beneficial effect as they were thrashed 10-2 by Coombs Wood at Blackheath. Rovers were missing many of their regulars and were forced to start the match with ten men, before trainer Dipple came on as the eleventh. The defeat was their worst result of the season.

BELBROUGHTON Workmen's Club held its annual meeting. Mr AW Best presided over a fair attendance of members, and votes of thanks were accorded to retiring officers. Meanwhile Mr WR Nash was re-elected as president and he announced that the club had gained an increase of 12 new members over the past year. The sale of newspapers and magazines took place afterwards, raising a total of £1 8s 11d.
