WORK on a £25,000 project to improve Matchborough Pond is expected to take until the end of the month.
Among the planned improvements suggested by Matchbor-ough Neighbourhood Group, are stabilisation work to stop erosion of the pond's banks and extension of the footpath. An area to feed the ducks will also be installed.
Funding for the work came from plans for a new housing development in the area.
Redditch Council's landscape and countryside manager Nat Healy said: "This is great news for the wildlife and local people."
