A 17-YEAR-old girl has been sent for trial after a college student from Redditch allegedly suffered a four-hour torture ordeal.

The defendant, who lives in Kidderminster, pleaded not guilty on Friday to causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

She also denied conspiring to pervert the course of justice by giving the police false information about the origins of injuries caused to the 17-year-old student.

At an earlier hearing, Worcester Crown Court was told the student was attacked in a flat in Bromsgrove on March 23 and suffered burns to her head and stomach, had her hair singed and nose broken.

The defendant, a mother of one, was remanded in custody.

Her trial is likely to take place in September.

Another 17-year-old girl and two 17-year-old youths, who all live in Bromsgrove, pleaded guilty to both charges.

They were remanded in custody and will be sentenced after the trial.
