FUN-LOVING divas were kept out of trouble with a host of exciting activities at the town's Ryland Centre.

More than 300 young women, aged between 12 and 16, flocked to the New Road centre for the Angels with Attitude day, which ran from 11am and 3pm.

Fun was top of the agenda as the teenagers were encouraged to scale a climbing wall, throw themselves down an inflatable slide or design a t-shirt.

Four stylists from Chapters hairdresser in High Street, Bromsgrove, were on hand to help create the latest looks. There were also beauticians, who provided mini facials, manicures and henna tattoos.

Energetic

Sporting youngsters could take part in lots of energetic activities including trampolining, Tae-Bo, street dance and football.

And big-hearted ASDA in Bromsgrove made sure the girls were kept fed with a variety of salads and fruit, which also helped to promote healthy eating. The day was organised by Youthworcs and the National Association of Clubs for Young People (NACYP) and attracted youth groups from all over the county and south Birmingham.

Ryland centre youth worker Jo Heath said: "It was a fantastic day and the girls really enjoyed themselves."

No one went away empty handed, with free goodie bags courtesy of Boots, which were jam-packed with make-up and other beauty preparations.
