THE PALACE Theatre Group returns to the main stage with one of its biggest productions to perform a contemporary version of Lewis Carroll's fantasies Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.

The group perform at The Palace Theatre for the first time since it's extensive refurbishment over the last 12 months.

The company bring Alice's fantastic adventures to life in a series of energetic and fast paced scenes.

A huge cast of 57, which covers ages from eight to 17-years-old, worked intensely hard to bring the show to life.

The show features over 200 characters, 300 costumes, song, physical theatre and movement and puppetry. The largest puppet stands over three metres high and four metres wide.

One highlight will be to see the demonic Jabberwocky stride across the stage, ready to do battle.

A large gothic style set, which was heavily influenced by director Tim Burton's films, will interact with the caste and puppets to create a dream-like show, which straddles the weird and the serious.

The show, which is geared to enchant adults and children alike, runs between Thursday, July 13 and Friday, July 15, at the theatre on Alcester Street.

Tickets cost £5.50 (£4.50 concessions) and a family ticket is £14. Call the box office on 01527 65203 to book tickets.
