BROMSGROVE Rovers are holding a reunion for former hero Peter Hensman on Saturday, June 10.

Hensman was a popular player with the fans as he helped Rovers reach the quarterfinals of the FA Trophy in the 1975/76 campaign.

He was also named the Messenger player of the season while at the club.

Hensman emigrated to Australia not long after guiding Rovers to the last eight of the competition but is returning to the country near the end of May.

A reunion will be held at the Victoria Ground to coincide with England's first World Cup group game against Paraguay. The reunion starts at 2pm.

Hensman played alongside Shaun O'Meara, Alan Parsons, Brendan Wassall and John Chambers, who were all members of the team that reached the quarterfinals.

He also played with the likes of Eddie Sang, Colin Hemming and Graham Allner and would like to reminisce about old times. If interested call David Stephens on 01527 871398.
