ROVERS took a point away from Bedworth but could have had all three if they had taken their chances in an end to end Southern League Division One West game on Tuesday night.

On-loan striker Mark Danks had put Rovers ahead with a well taken goal, but Jimmy Mullen's side had two goals disallowed and missed a host of chances at The Oval.

Rovers had a goal disallowed for offside in the third minute when a Bedworth defender headed into his own net.

Danks though opened the scoring in the 32nd minute when he curled s 25-yard shot past 'keeper David Clarke.

Kevin Banner had a goal disallowed in the 52nd minute, after striker Danks was harshly adjudged to have taken the ball out of play.

Matthew Barnes-Homer had a shot saved in the 69th minute after good work by Wayne Dyer, before Bedworth substitute Jason Moore blazed over.

Evans made an athletic save to push away former Rovers striker Lee Greenway's fierce drive.

Rovers were pulled level when Guy Barnett took the ball around Evans in the 76th minute.

The visitors though probed for a winning goal. Exodus Geohaghan headed over from Banner's corner in the 81st minute.

Barnes-Homer and Dyer also had headers just off target, while Bedworth's Ben Twigger shot over from long range in the 93rd minute.
