CANADIAN band The Be Good Tanyas perform their melting pot of traditional American music to the Midlands Arts Centre's (MAC) Sounds in the Round music festival on Saturday, July 15.
The band, which mixes the contrasting styles of deep country, early American folk, old-tyme jazz, blues and gospel, have got rave reviews in the British press over the last year.
The band, made up of Frazey Ford, Trish Klein and Samantha Parton bonded over their passion for traditional music. The trio use everything from a guitar to a ukulele to create their distinctive sound.
The band are currently promoting their second album, Chinatown, which contains a cover of The Animals' House of the Rising Sun.
