HEADLINING this year's Hole in the Wall concert, to be held on Saturday is legendary pop/rock group, The Hollies, who are promising to deliver the best gig ever to be held at Hopton Court.

The concert will take place in the stunning walled gardens at Hopton Court in Hopton Wafers, the perfect setting with the main building dating back as far as 1776.

Each year, the Hole in the Wall concert has seen a diverse selection of impressive musical talents, but the rare chance of seeing an act quite as established as The Hollies looks set to make this year's show the best ever.

To put into perspective the incredible contribution that The Hollies have made to the history of modern music - it is chronicled that throughout their career they have had more hits than any other British group. And that includes The Beatles.

The gig will deliver some of the latest music from their new album titled Staying Power, aptly named as the band's successes span over 40 years. However, old favourites will steal the show. With hits including I'm Alive and On a Carousel and the classic anthems The Air that I Breathe and He ain't Heavy, He's my Brother in the night's line-up, the gig is guaranteed to be a real treat.

Supporting The Hollies and back by popular demand, local bands Tom the Frop and Amoeba will also be making an appearance.

Chris Woodward, the organiser and owner of Hopton Court supports a local charity each year. He said: "This year's event is aimed at helping the Cleobury Mortimer Playing Fields Group. We hope that enough money will be raised through the bucket collection to pay for disabled access, new signs and a new slide as well as an improved children's play area."

There will also be a pig roast and a licensed bar and the night will end with a fireworks finale.
