CHURCH parishioners from Kidderminster are due to step out and raise much-needed funds for Sport Relief.
The team, from St Chad CE Church, will join hundreds of other competitors in Wolverhampton to raise funds on Saturday. The Comberton group will run or walk the mile across the park to raise money.
Training was given weekly around the new community garden labyrinth and Comberton estate in the run-up to the event, which coincides with St Chad's 50th anniversary celebrations.
To mark the church's milestone, Shirley Rogers will also return to preach at the Sunday service the following morning, as part of the year's programme of inviting past leaders back.
