WORCESTERSHIRE great Graeme Hick has been awarded a testimonial year in 2006 by the club.
Hick, 39, joint ninth in the all-time list of first-class centurions and just two centuries away from scoring 100 hundreds for the County alone, has spent his 21-year career at New Road.
Cynthia Crawford MBE has agreed to chair the testimonial committee and she said: "I am both surprised and pleased to be asked by Graeme to act as chairwoman during his testimonial year 2006.
"Graeme has been an integral part of Worcestershire for over 20 years and we all agree this honour is well merited. The committee look forward to an interesting and successful year."
